Recognition Awards

 

The Peggy F. Morton, Memorial Award for Teaching Excellence:  This award, created under the 28th Watch, pays tribute to Stf/C Peggy F. Morton who died suddenly in July of 2010.  Peggy was one of five winners of the 2008 USPS national Chapman Award for teaching excellence. In honor of her achievement, CISPS will recognize those instructors who become our nominee for outstanding instructor at the District 4 fall educational conference with this award. It is fitting that the first award goes to P/C Gary P. Mandarano, JN.  Gary has taught Seamanship, Marine Electronics, and  Marine Electrical Systems. He has also created wonderful teaching models to supplement the course material. Thank you Gary for all that you do!

Educational Achievement - Full Certificate - In recognition of the successful completion of the grade Navigation and all elective courses, CISPS is proud to announce that P/C Salvatore Scotti, SN has completed his certificate.  Salvatore was presented with the EA certificate at the D/4 Spring 2011 Conference. Congratulations!!!

Certificate of Educational Proficiency – In recognition of the successful completion of the grade Junior Navigation and three additional elective courses, CISPS is proud to announce that P/C Susanna Taylor, JN was presented with the EP certificate at the D/4 Spring 2011 Conference. Congratulations and keep up the good work!!
